The Government and civil society of the Philippines will host the next Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting in Manila on February 5-7, 2025. This conference will bring together high level representatives of government, civil society leaders, and policy-makers from across the region, as well as global and regional partners to exchange experiences, best practices, and progress on open government initiatives and implementation on key issues.

Online Learning Platform Launching
This workshop will gather around 45 people from a variety of organizations with experience in topics related to education, environmental and natural resources, gender, journalism, and legal aids, including CSS cluster members, CSOs/CBOs, INGOs, researchers, indigenous youth, and women groups. Participants from 10 to 15 people in the target provinces will be invited. Objectives of the workshop To officially introduce the Learning Platform and how it was developed, To gather user feedback on the look and functionality and suggestions from all key stakeholders, To call for increased collaboration on data and resource sharing. About the organizer: Open Development Cambodia (ODC), with financial support from USAID Cambodia through Family Health International (FHI 360) for the Civil Society Support (CSS) Project, has developed a new Learning Platform that serves as a free one-stop-shop knowledge-sharing portal, aggregating best practices, and lessons learned by the cluster members of the Civil Society Support (CSS) project.
Fifth Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon
Theme: Youth powering media and information literacy in digital spaces The UNESCO annual Global Media and Information Literacy Week is a major occasion for stakeholders to review and celebrate the progress achieved towards “Media and Information Literacy for All.” The Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon is an integral part of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week Youth Agenda Forum. It is an opportunity for young people and youth organizations worldwide to participate in creating innovative MIL learning in meaningful ways. Following the previous four successful editions, the fifth Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon will be held during Global MIL Week 2023. UNESCO and partners call on youth worldwide to participate in this virtual hackathon to design innovative solutions to a defined set of social challenges, in connection with the year’s theme: “Youth powering media and information literacy in digital spaces.” Youth from schools, universities, youth centers, youth organizations, and young leaders from around the globe are invited to participate. The winning teams and the outcome of the Hackathon will be presented during the Global MIL Week Youth Agenda Forum 2023. 2025 Geo for Good Summit Singapore
The Geo for Good Summit is intended for nonprofit, academic, public sector, private sector, and Indigenous peoples and local communities who are using Google Earth Engine and other geospatial tools for planetary sustainability and human resilience. By attending the Summit, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and share about the latest science and technical advances in sustainability, delve into Google’s supporting geospatial solutions, and hack together.
