Summit

"AI for Good" was established in 2017 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations (UN) leading agency for digital technologies. As the leading UN platform on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the mission of AI for Good is to unlock AI’s potential to serve humanity. As a multi-stakeholder platform, AI for Good advances AI through three core pillars: identifying AI solutions, building AI skills and capacity worldwide, and driving cross-sector partnerships. AI for Good is organized by ITU in partnership with over 50 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland.

By attending the Summit, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and share about the latest science and technical advances in sustainability, delve into Google’s supporting geospatial tools, and build together.

The Geo for Good Summit is intended for nonprofit, academic, public sector, private sector, and Indigenous peoples and local communities who are using Google Earth Engine and other geospatial tools for planetary sustainability and human resilience. By attending the Summit, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and share about the latest science and technical advances in sustainability, delve into Google’s supporting geospatial solutions, and hack together. When: August 25-28, 2025 Where: Google New York City Cost: Free. Participants are expected to cover their own travel expenses How to Attend: Because space is limited at the event venue, interested candidates will need to apply (and be accepted) to attend. Applicants must demonstrate how their work leads to planetary sustainability and human resilience around the world.
