APrIGF 2023 – BRISBANE
Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) is one of the key regional initiatives on Internet governance. By adopting the multi-stakeholder approach as its core principle, APrIGF serves as a platform for discussion exchange and collaboration at a regional level and also where possible to aggregate national IGF discussions to ultimately advance the Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region. Geo for Good Mini Summit São Paulo
The Mini Summit is intended for nonprofit, academic, public sector, private sector, and Indigenous peoples and local communities who are using Google Earth Engine and other geospatial tools for planetary sustainability and human resilience. Because space is limited at the event venue, interested candidates will need to apply (and be accepted) to attend. Applicants must demonstrate how their work leads to planetary sustainability and human resilience around the world. Cost: Free. In-person participants are expected to cover their own travel expenses. Timeline May 14: Application opens June 7: Application deadline June 28: Applicants will receive email notification of their application decision. The Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy 2025 (APIGA)
APIGA aims to develop youth leaders’ understanding of the Internet and its ecosystem. It also aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to participate in Internet policy making through developing a strong foundation in the following: The concept of Internet governance, and the multistakeholder model of policymaking; Current global Internet governance issues, and applying these issues at the local and regional levels; The confidence to speak up in regional and international fora.
