The 18th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum will be hosted by the Government of Japan in Kyoto from 8 to 12 October 2023. The Forum’s overarching theme is: The Internet We Want – Empowering All People.

Conference on Southeast Asia’s Economic Research and Development

The conference intends to discuss the history of economic thought, economic research and development in Southeast Asia. This conference aims to provide an opportunity to PhD students, young scholars, and researchers in the field of economics and social science to share their research and exchange knowledge in different study agendas and backgrounds, as well as to receive feedback on their work from senior researchers and practitioners. APNIC 60 will be held from 4 to 11 September 2025. Workshops and partner meetings will be held from 4 to 8 September followed by the conference from 9 to 11 September 2025. The conference brings together Internet and networking expert government representatives, industry leaders, and other interested parties from around the world to learn, share ideas and experience, network with peers, and develop policies related to Internet operations. For its 13th edition, Access Now will host RightsCon 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan and online from Monday, February 24 to Thursday, February 27, marking our first summit in East Asia and a return to the Asia Pacific region after a decade. Each year, RightsCon convenes business leaders, policy makers, general counsels, government representatives, technologists, academics, journalists, and human rights advocates from around the world to tackle pressing issues at the intersection of human rights and technology.  In engaging fireside chats, hands-on workshops, strategic roundtables, private meetings, and a lively exhibition space, RightsCon is where a global movement comes together to build strategies and drive forward change toward a more free, open, and connected digital world.
