2025 World Library and Information Congress

The Geo for Good Summit is intended for nonprofit, academic, public sector, private sector, and Indigenous peoples and local communities who are using Google Earth Engine and other geospatial tools for planetary sustainability and human resilience. By attending the Summit, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and share about the latest science and technical advances in sustainability, delve into Google’s supporting geospatial solutions, and hack together. When: Sept 8-11, 2025 Where: Google Singapore Cost: Free. Participants are expected to cover their own travel expenses How to Attend: Because space is limited at the event venue, interested candidates will need to apply (and be accepted) to attend. Applicants must demonstrate how their work leads to planetary sustainability and human resilience around the world.

Tech Salon #9 will have a discussion on the topic of Online Collaboration Tool in Action. This discussion will share about teamwork, use of online tools, as well as which tools we should choose to work together online that are appropriate for your job. Monthly Tech Salon invites speakers from civil society organizations and experts to share experiences related to the use of institutional technology to learn from each other and enhance the use of ICT for social work. • Tech Salon

This two-week annual, comprehensive human rights and advocacy training course is the longest established human rights training program in the region, building the capacity of individuals, institutions and movements at this time of shrinking space for civil society. It builds knowledge of international human rights standards and the UN system. Similar to a summer school the program includes intensive sessions on human rights and development, advocacy and media skills.
