
Partner2Connect (P2C) National Roundtable for Cambodia will take place from 8-9 July 2024 in Phnom Penh. This in-country meeting will provide a unique opportunity for all relevant stakeholders on both global and national levels to come together to understand Cambodia’s needs and determine the best responses to its digital transformation. This includes mobilization of new P2C pledges and leveraging dialogue with key stakeholders.
The objectives of the roundtable are as follows:
- Develop a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s digital landscape, digital transformation initiatives, relevant policies and strategies, existing opportunities, and development gaps.
- Bring together key stakeholders involved in Cambodia’s digital transformation, including government, P2C pledging organizations, donors, UN and international organizations, private sector, civil society, and academia, to discuss and align on Cambodia’s priority areas for development and targets.
- Mobilize additional P2C pledges to address Cambodia’s gaps and priorities and facilitate sustainable partnerships.

Fifth Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon
Theme: Youth powering media and information literacy in digital spaces The UNESCO annual Global Media and Information Literacy Week is a major occasion for stakeholders to review and celebrate the progress achieved towards “Media and Information Literacy for All.” The Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon is an integral part of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week Youth Agenda Forum. It is an opportunity for young people and youth organizations worldwide to participate in creating innovative MIL learning in meaningful ways. Following the previous four successful editions, the fifth Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon will be held during Global MIL Week 2023. UNESCO and partners call on youth worldwide to participate in this virtual hackathon to design innovative solutions to a defined set of social challenges, in connection with the year’s theme: “Youth powering media and information literacy in digital spaces.” Youth from schools, universities, youth centers, youth organizations, and young leaders from around the globe are invited to participate. The winning teams and the outcome of the Hackathon will be presented during the Global MIL Week Youth Agenda Forum 2023. 9th International Conference: Shrinking Civic Space in Asia
Asia Centre’s 9th Annual International Conference will revolve around stories of resistance and pushback in defense of civic space in Asia. This topic is pressing and timely given the widespread contraction of civic spaces in the region, which poses a threat to the future of democratic societies. Registration is open to all presenters and participants from academic institutions, media outlets and journalist associations, businesses, national and regional civil society organizations, international NGOs, political parties, parliaments, government agencies, and intergovernmental organizations to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking. Researchers and practitioners wishing to present papers or share their experiences are invited to submit a title and abstract of 300–340 words in English, together with a biographical paragraph of 100 words, here.
